OTTT Project Description

 

 



    Assuming the fact that the preschool level of education is fundamental for the further children’s development both in the scope of social and educational levels, and considering children’s abilities to memorize and build their store of passive knowledge which they will later use, faster and easier at that age than further in time we think that the kindergarten level is the best age to teach and develop children’s basic knowledge and competencies in the field of simplified financial literacy and skills through foreign language learning. These fundamental skills will certainly be the basis for further financial and social skills and competencies at a higher level of acquisition, as innovative practices in the digital era, applied in the earlier stage of the educational level will lay the ground for further development. In the era of highly digitalized social relations and communication, children need a more individual approach and communicative skills both in their mother tongue and foreign language, entrepreneurial and social skills for better understanding and inclusion in socially important issues such as single European market, linguistic, parents. With the activities which we plan we aim at developing their and relation with their peers, teachers, the close labour market, and currency literacy. To achieve these we plan several project activities which will lead to teachers' professional development, sharing good practices and innovative approaches as we consider teachers to be the primary direct project beneficiaries in this project. Once we have well trained and competent teachers, they will be able to convey their knowledge to children. We assume that the better and the more creative the teachers, the smarter the kids they teach. We also target improving teacher's digital skills so that they can meet younger children's educational needs in our contemporary digital world.
